Our Fees and admissions information

Puffins Preschool is open for 38 weeks of the year (term time only). 8:00am - 16:00pm

It is a non-profit making charity run setting, with the money going back into the Preschool to purchase and develop new resources for the children and to continue our commitment to promoting equality and providing the community with an accessible preschool.

Children must attend for a minimum of 2 sessions (9.00-13.00 = 1 session).

Government funding is intended to cover the cost to deliver 15 or 30 hours a week of free, high-quality, early education. It is not intended to cover the cost of meals, consumables, additional hours, or additional services.  

Puffins Preschool charges for snacks as part of a free entitlement place and also charges for consumables, for example, Wipes, cleaning products, sun cream, trips – this is not an exhaustive list.

Puffins Preschool will charge a deposit of £30.00 to secure your child’s free place.  The deposit will be refunded back to you on your last terms invoice. However, if you leave before your last term and do not provide the required amount of notice 4 Weeks in writing your deposit will not be refunded.

Children aged two (those that are eligible) and every three to under five-year-old are entitled to Early Education Funded sessions. They will receive 15 hours of funded childcare per week or 28hours if they are 3yrs/4yrs and are eligible.

Early Education Funding (EEF) is available from the term beginning after a child’s 3rd birthday. Some two-year-olds may also be eligible for EEF, please speak to a member of staff for details.

Payment of fees or additional fees will be invoiced at the beginning of each term. You may pay by cash or direct into the bank account or we are registered with tax-free childcare as an alternative way to pay part of your fees.
